BuyHTTP Unveils E-Commerce Hosting Packages |

services, announced today it is now offering specialty e-commerce hosting packages.
The company, which hopes to
reach a wider assortment of small to medium sized businesses with the new
packages, had previously offered e-commerce services to select customers, but
had never specifically advertised or promoted the offerings. Its new packages
focus on support for the VirtueMart shopping cart system and Joomla! content
management system (CMS), and start at only $26.95/monthly.
“As increasing numbers of
small to medium sized businesses move toward Web-based sales platforms, there
will be a heightened demand for specialty e-commerce hosting solutions,” said
Doyle Lewis, BuyHTTP owner. “And by focusing heavily on support of integrated
e-commerce applications, like shopping carts, SSL certificates, and content
management systems, in addition to hosting, we have developed a distinctive
edge over our competitors.”
Once customers order an
e-commerce package, a shopping cart and integrated content management system will
be installed for them, upon request, at no additional charge. Additionally, all
future upgrades and software patches will be performed by BuyHTTP, so no technical
expertise is required to operate the site. Packages also include a free RocketTheme
site template valued at $50.
“To encourage small
businesses to embrace the Internet as a sales tool, it is important to
understand their historical barriers to entry—one of which is a lack of
technical expertise. We’ve been able to conquer this barrier by completely
eliminating the component of Web design and development; the only thing our
customers need to do is run their business,” said Lewis.
Offsite data backups, flash
tutorials, document management services, and SSL certificates are also
available to customers at no additional charge.
