 Arthur Konze has recently released 2 free template for downloading. AkoMojo is a funky variable width template with a 70's multicolor theme. AkoOperator is a fixed width template and has a much softer feel. Designed with medical purposes in mind.
You can demo AkoMojo HERE and AkoOperator HERE. Both are available in the downloads area.

 Rhuk.net has release two templates (
rhuk_raspberry_slushy & rhuk_blueberry_milkshake). Both templates are variable width and come with a nice header and CSS, grab your copy from the download section, a live preview is also available from the demo as well as the templates gallery

 Nicola Laviola has releaed a nice template called VTech2, the template is mostly grey with sharp layout and header, the The VTech template was ported for mambo from http://www.mtechnik.net, however, it's released under the GNU/GPL. see it live at the demo and the templates gallery
