Miro develops Mambo in-house

Due to the recent separation of the core development team from Miro, Miro will continue the development of Mambo using their own employees until they find a new team to help with the development.

The question now is how long Miro will take to put together a team of developers to continue the development of the award winning CMS? Is the community willing to wait for Miro while the original development team who knows the code inside out releases the new version of Mambo under the new name? It’s highly unlikely.

Are we going to see a race? Maybe, But we know who's going to be the winner, don’t we?

The answer to your FAQ about the new Mambo

Today, the core team published an answer to the frequently asked question regarding the future of Mambo, the team assure the community of the continuity of the project based on existing codebase and a backward compatibility for the 4.5.x series

They also consider the new project as a continuing development rather than a "fork" and they are currently working on the details of the new name, a new development platform similar to Mamboforge to host all existing 3PD projects.
