Opensourcematters.com is the name of the new site created by the Mambo development team in respond to the new Mambo foundation announcement by Peter Lemont, the CEO of Miro. On the front page of OSM, you’ll find an open letter to the community by Andrew Eddie, Project director of Mambo. The letter explains how the Mambo foundation was formed without regard to the concerns of the core development teams. And neither the community nor the dev team has any voice in its government or the future direction of Mambo. “We, the development team, have serious concerns about the Mambo Foundation and its relationship to the community. We believe the future of Mambo should be controlled by the demands of its users and the abilities of its developers. The Mambo Foundation is designed to grant that control to Miro, a design that makes cooperation between the Foundation and the community impossible.” said Andrew

Peter Lamont, the CEO of Miro has announced the establishment of Mambo Foundation, Inc. A new independent non-profit organization whose mission is to manage and support Mambo and its community.
"As you know, there have been several important and exciting changes in the Mambo community lately. The formation of the Mambo Foundation, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to manage the Mambo project, will ensure the security, longevity and success of Mambo and its community of users. Our next goal is to put together a strong organizational structure and encourage coordination between teams including core development, maintenance, documentation, translation, third-party development, membership, finance, administration and advocacy who will work under the Foundation umbrella." said Peter.
